There’s something about the first day of summer that always feels like a soft exhale. A shift in pace. A gentle permission to let things be a little lighter, a little slower, a little sweeter.
At Current Season, summer is not about rushing to do more. It’s about living more beautifully—choosing what feels good, surrounding yourself with things that bring ease, and savoring life’s little luxuries.
So, to welcome the season, I made a little list. Not a to-do list, but a to-feel list. A rhythm. A mood. A soft celebration of all the ways I plan to live summer fully and intentionally.
What I’m Wearing
Breezy cotton pieces that kiss the skin.
Light knits on cooler mornings.
Wide-brimmed hats and barely-there sandals.
Soft butter yellows, ocean blues, crisp whites, and sun-washed neutrals.
Always a touch of something special—like a woven tote or my favorite gold earring.
What I’m Sipping
Iced green tea with mint.
Sparkling water with muddled fruits or cucumber ribbons.
A chilled light Grenache red or a glass of rosé—so cold it’s nearly a slushy—on the porch at golden hour.
What I’m Savoring
Ripe tomatoes sprinkled with sea salt.
Fresh peaches eaten over the sink.
Salads dressed in the simplest vinaigrettes with seasonal herbs and citruses.
Simple grilled dinners shared with people I love.
Roasted summer squash with olive oil and with other seasonal vegetables.
What I’m Embracing
Slow mornings.
Even slower evenings.
Wearing less makeup and letting the sun kiss my skin.
Stepping barefoot on fresh cut grass or warm concrete.
More beach days with our dogs.
As many summer reads as I can get my hands on.
Music playing through open windows.
A quieter mind. A softer heart. More time unplugged.
Summer doesn’t ask much of us—just to be present. To notice the beauty. To live each day with a little more lightness and joy.
And if you need a few pieces to help you get there—something to wear, something to sip from, something to light or lay on—I’ve been curating them with you in mind. They’re waiting for you in store and online. Come visit.
Here’s to a season filled with beauty, comfort, and ease.
