Dressing Between Seasons
There’s a rhythm to this time of year. Mornings ask for a little more—an extra layer, a warmer cup of coffee—while afternoons lean into sunshine and simplicity. One minute you’re reaching for your sweater, and the next it’s tucked into your bag.
This is the season where your wardrobe gets to stretch a bit. You’re not quite in full summer mode, but spring isn’t holding on as tightly either. Dressing for the changing season becomes a quiet art—blending what’s cozy with what’s breezy, layering thoughtfully, and leaning into ease.
Maybe you start the day in wide-leg trousers and a crisp white tank, adding a soft cotton cardigan over your shoulders while you walk the dog or grab a coffee. It’s functional, but it also adds that little touch of polish we all love.
Heading to lunch? Try a lightweight button-down or crewneck cotton sweater over a flowy midi dress. Tie it at the waist or wear it loosely layered—just enough warmth if you're sitting in the shade, and easily set aside when the sun comes out.
Later, for dinner on the patio or a glass of wine out with friends, a linen blazer layered over a tank and jeans—or even tailored shorts—feels just right. It’s pulled together without being fussy, and just light enough to stay on as the evening cools.
On days that blur one moment into the next, reach for balance. Style your cotton skirts with closed-toe flats. Toss a cardigan over your shoulders when wearing a sleeveless dress. Keep a soft sweater nearby—you might not need it all day, but when you do, it makes the moment feel a little more thoughtful.
In our store, we’ve stocked up on exactly these kinds of staples. Lightweight cardigans in natural fibers. Breathable sweaters you can wear on their own or tie at the waist. A few beautiful blazers and cotton layers that blend seamlessly with the pieces you already love—like that perfect pair of jeans or the tank top you live in.
The idea isn’t to start over, but to build slowly and intentionally—adding just a few pieces that help everything else work a little harder.
Because getting dressed should feel like a reflection of your day, your season, and yourself. Easy, beautiful, and entirely your own.
